Additionally, the Ministry advises using security systems such as alarms, video surveillance, motion detectors, and outdoor lighting. It is important to maintain contact with neighbors and report any suspicious individuals or vehicles.
To ensure personal safety, citizens should avoid leaving keys in easily accessible places, not open doors to strangers, and refrain from posting information about prolonged absences on social media. It is also recommended to collect mail in a timely manner and regularly check the condition of locking mechanisms at night.
In case of attempted break-ins or the discovery of strangers in the home, the Ministry advises to immediately call 102, attract the attention of neighbors, and avoid confrontation with the intruder if possible.
The department emphasized that the joint efforts of citizens and prompt reporting to the police can significantly reduce crime rates and ensure the safety of residents in their homes.
