On December 3, 2025, during the state visit of the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, to Pakistan, a meeting took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, Jeenbek Kulubaev, and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Muhammad Ishaq Dar. During the discussions, an open and constructive dialogue took place, covering a wide range of issues related to bilateral relations. Representatives of the two countries reaffirmed their commitment to deepening political dialogue and developing comprehensive cooperation based on mutual respect and trust.
Kulubaev emphasized the need to activate cooperation in the areas of trade, economy, transport, logistics, investments, and cultural-humanitarian interaction. He noted that the development of these areas contributes to strengthening ties between entrepreneurs and the business communities of Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan, as well as significantly increasing the volumes of bilateral trade.
Additionally, during the meeting, issues of regional security were discussed, highlighting the importance of coordinating efforts to combat modern challenges and threats. Both sides expressed interest in strengthening cooperation between relevant agencies in this area.
In the context of multilateral cooperation, Kulubaev informed his Pakistani colleagues about Kyrgyzstan's plans to assume the chairmanship of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in 2026, expressing hope for active participation and support from Pakistan.
Following the negotiations, both sides expressed hope that Sadyr Japarov's visit would become a significant milestone for further strengthening and expanding cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan in all mutually beneficial areas. The parties confirmed their readiness for consistent work to deepen relations.
