Sadyr Japarov held talks with the President of Egypt

During the meeting, the presidents discussed important aspects of Kyrgyz-Egyptian cooperation, including the development of mutually beneficial economic interaction and political dialogue. As-Sisi welcomed Japarov and noted the strategic significance of strengthening friendly relations between the two countries, emphasizing Egypt's readiness to deepen practical cooperation.

The President of Egypt expressed hope that the visit of his Kyrgyz counterpart would be an important step in strengthening the partnership and create a solid foundation for joint initiatives.

Sadyr Japarov, for his part, noted that his visit was the first for a president of Kyrgyzstan to the African continent since gaining independence. He also highly appreciated Egypt's role in regional affairs in the Middle East and Africa.

During the negotiations, the intention to open an Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Cairo was announced to strengthen friendship and develop bilateral relations. A number of agreements aimed at expanding cooperation in the fields of trade, economy, investment, and science are to be signed, as well as the establishment of an Intergovernmental Commission, with the first meeting proposed to be held in Bishkek.

The President of Egypt supported this initiative, noting the active cooperation of the two countries within international organizations such as the UN, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

Sadyr Japarov invited Abdel Fattah As-Sisi to visit Kyrgyzstan on an official visit, including to participate in the SCO summit, which will take place in Bishkek in the fall of 2026, and in the VI World Nomad Games, as well as in the celebration of Kyrgyzstan's Independence Day.

In conclusion, both sides emphasized the significant potential for developing mutually beneficial partnership between Kyrgyzstan and Egypt.
