The Governor of the Ulyanovsk Region, Alexey Russkikh, met with the Consul General of Kyrgyzstan in Kazan, Erik Beishembiev, to discuss opportunities for deepening mutually beneficial cooperation between the two regions.

According to Russkikh, there is already a multilateral partnership between the Ulyanovsk Region and Kyrgyzstan that should be developed.

“We aim to bring new aspects into it. Last year, there was an increase in trade turnover between our regions, and Kyrgyzstan entered the top five of our main trading partners. It is important for us to activate joint work. We already have successful examples of cooperation — for instance, UAZ vehicles are popular in Kyrgyzstan, and our aluminum profiles and plastic products are in demand. Joint projects in the field of information technology are also being implemented. In education, strong ties have been established between our universities, and we see great potential in this direction. Our goal is not only traditional industries such as automotive and aerospace but also pharmaceuticals, new materials, and electronics,” noted the governor.

Erik Beishembiev, for his part, visited enterprises such as LLC "Avtodome," LLC "Simbirsk-Muka," as well as some educational organizations and the branch of LLC "DAKKOR" "Volga," and also familiarized himself with the specifics of the port special economic zone "Ulyanovsk."

He expressed confidence that cooperation with the Ulyanovsk Region could be beneficial in areas such as tourism, agriculture, and industry, particularly highlighting the products of "Avtodome."
