The Minister of Culture, Information, Sports, and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan, Mirbek Mambetaliev, and the Minister of Culture of Russia, Olga Lyubimova, participated in the ceremony, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Culture.
In his speech, Mambetaliev noted that the cultural ties between the two countries are based on common historical roots and spiritual values. He thanked the Russian side for the high quality of the event preparations.
"Cultural cooperation is a bridge of friendship that connects our peoples through art and understanding," he emphasized.
Lyubimova added that the importance of cultural exchange cannot be overestimated and noted the multifaceted and trusting nature of relations between Russia and Kyrgyzstan.
"The long-standing friendship and spiritual closeness of our peoples, as well as creative cooperation, are invaluable assets and the foundation of our partnership. We are pleased to present the best examples of Russian culture and art to the Kyrgyz people," she stated, thanking the Kyrgyz side for the warm welcome and assistance in organizing the events.
As part of the Days of Russian Culture in Kyrgyzstan, concerts, exhibitions, theatrical performances, and other events aimed at developing cultural dialogue and strengthening friendship between the peoples are planned.
At the gala concert dedicated to the opening of the Days of Russian Culture, artists and musicians such as Pelageya, Alexandra Vorobyova, Sergey Volchkov, Nikolai Zemlyansky, Sofia Onopchenko, pianist and conductor Sergey Zhilyin, Anastasia Tyurina, Vadim Eilenkrig, and the National Russian Ballet "Revival" performed.
