
On October 21, 2014, at 18:30, a concert by the People's Artist of Russia, violinist, professor Vladimir Mikhailovich Ivanov will take place at the Kyrgyz National Philharmonic named after T. Satylganov.
Vladimir Ivanov is a student of M. Gleazarova and Yu. Yankelovich, and began his solo career with victories in international competitions: the I.S. Bach competition in Leipzig (1972, 1st prize), the Kati Popova festival in Pleven (1974, Gold Medal), and the M. Ravel competition in Bordeaux (1976, Gold Medal).
After completing his postgraduate studies, he began his teaching career at the Moscow Conservatory. Even during his student years, he became the founder of the "Moscow Trio" (with A. Z. Bonduryansky and M. Yu. Utkin). Since 1974, Ivanov V.I. has been teaching at the Department of History and Theory of Performance at the P.I. Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory.
Since 1990, V. Ivanov has been a soloist with the Moscow State Academic Philharmonic.
Since 2001, he has been the dean of the orchestral faculty at the Moscow Conservatory.
He is a member of the jury for many international competitions.
Among his students are laureates of international competitions: O. Chepizhnaya, L. Lymanova, E. Chvertok, K. Terentyev, P. Milyukov, V. Lopatina, I. Peshkov, N. Palitsyna, A. Kabashnaya, D. Kemelman, A. Khutoryansky, D. Sattarov, I. Chepizhnaya, Mun Keng Jin, and others.
Vladimir Ivanov constantly tours and holds concerts, master classes in Russia and abroad. V. Ivanov's repertoire includes several hundred works of all genres of solo and chamber performance, with about 40 records and compact discs released featuring his performances of solo and chamber compositions.
The concert of the recognized master, violinist Vladimir Mikhailovich Ivanov, is organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic as part of the declared 2014 year - the Year of Culture in Russia and the Year of Strengthening Statehood in Kyrgyzstan.
