
On November 18, 2014, at 6:30 PM, a concert of the State Academic Russian Folk Ensemble "Russia" named after Lyudmila Zykina (Moscow) will take place at the Kyrgyz National Philharmonic named after T. Satylganov.
The artistic director and chief conductor of the ensemble is Dmitry Dmitrienko, a laureate of international competitions.
The concert of the ensemble "Russia" is part of the declared 2014 as the Year of Culture in Russia and the Year of Strengthening Statehood in Kyrgyzstan.

The ideological inspirer of the ensemble "Russia," created in 1977, is the great Russian singer, People's Artist of the USSR - Lyudmila Zykina.
The "musical baptism" of the ensemble "Russia," which gained worldwide recognition and fame, took place in the legendary Carnegie Hall in the USA, where the group gave more than 40 concerts. Since then, the ensemble "Russia" has performed in many countries around the world, visited many cities in Russia, recorded more than 30 compact discs and records, and appeared in a large number of television and radio programs.
The main achievement of the ensemble "Russia" remains the desire to preserve and develop the performing traditions of Russian folk musical culture, uniting the talented potential of young artists who are adherents of the unique artistic direction of the beloved singer and actress Lyudmila Zykina.

The concert will feature popular and beloved songs from the repertoire of the great singer Lyudmila Zykina: "Orenburg Downy Shawl," "I Fly Over Russia" by G. Ponomarenko, "From Afar the Volga River Flows" by M. Fradkin, "Going on Leave" by A. Averkina, "Troika Bird" by V. Temnov, Russian folk songs "Under the Arch the Bell Sings," "It's Raining on the Street," and others.
The mission, goals, and objectives of the ensemble "Russia" are to preserve the national cultural heritage, develop folk art, and educate listeners with high music. Evidence of this is the numerous concerts of the renowned ensemble in Russia and beyond.
The concert is organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Culture, Information, and Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic.
