Since August 21, 2012, in honor of the celebration of the Independence Day of the Kyrgyz Republic, the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic has put into circulation a melchior coin "Komuz" with a denomination of 5 soms.
The main motif on the obverse side of the melchior coin "Komuz" is the image of a komuz player - a person playing the komuz virtuously. On the reverse side of the coin, the coat of arms of the Kyrgyz Republic is presented, along with images of national musical instruments, the name of the series "Улуттук музыкалык аспаптар" in the Kyrgyz language, and the year of issue of the coin (2012).
The melchior coin with a denomination of 5 soms has a "brilliant uncirculated" quality. Each coin is placed in an acrylic capsule.
