Negotiations of the Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic with a WHO Representative


During the 75th session of the Regional Committee of the World Health Organization (WHO) for Europe, held in Copenhagen, a meeting took place between Erkin Chechebaev, the Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan, and David Novillo, the advisor on digital health at the WHO European Regional Office.

According to the information from the Ministry of Health's press service, important issues related to the development of initiatives for the implementation of artificial intelligence and digital technologies in the healthcare system of Kyrgyzstan were discussed, with the aim of improving its efficiency and the quality of medical services.



Possibilities for further cooperation in the field of digital health and artificial intelligence were also discussed, including support for the creation of a regulatory framework that will ensure the safe and responsible use of digital technologies in medicine, as well as the exchange of experiences between Kyrgyzstan and other countries in the WHO European region to accelerate digital transformation in healthcare.

“The parties emphasized their interest in deepening partnership and implementing joint initiatives. The WHO expressed its readiness to support Kyrgyzstan's national priorities in the field of digital health. Minister Erkin Chechebaev noted that this cooperation confirms the sustainable and productive relations between Kyrgyzstan and the WHO aimed at creating a modern, sustainable, and patient-centered healthcare system,” the official statement said.
