According to the head of the foreign policy department of the Administration of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sagynbek Abdumutalip, during his visit, Japarov will hold meetings with key Pakistani leaders. Among them are Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, President Asif Ali Zardari, Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, and Chairman of the Senate Yusuf Raza Gilani.
The main focus will be on discussing issues of bilateral cooperation in various areas of mutual interest, as well as opportunities for further strengthening Kyrgyz-Pakistani relations.
The program of the visit also includes a Kyrgyz-Pakistani business forum, as noted by Abdumutalip.
For reference: diplomatic relations between Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan were established on May 10, 1992. The last time a Kyrgyz president visited Pakistan was in 2005.
Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan actively cooperate within international organizations such as the United Nations, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and the Economic Cooperation Organization.
