At the beginning of the meeting, Jebali shared the history of the Egyptian parliament, which has existed for over 150 years. Both sides discussed opportunities to strengthen inter-parliamentary ties and improve the legal framework for cooperation.
The Speaker expressed his joy regarding the first official visit of the President of Kyrgyzstan to Egypt, emphasizing its importance for deepening friendship and mutual understanding between the two countries. He noted that the choice of Egypt for the first visit on the continent reflects a high respect for the country.
In response, Japarov thanked for the warm welcome and noted that there is a spiritual closeness between the peoples of Kyrgyzstan and Egypt, despite their geographical distance. He proposed creating friendship groups among deputies and holding parliamentary forums and consultations.
The President also announced that the elections for the deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh in Kyrgyzstan are scheduled for November 30, 2025, and invited his Egyptian colleagues to observe them. He also expressed hope for the successful conduct of the upcoming elections in Egypt.
Japarov noted that the formation of a legal framework for Kyrgyz-Egyptian relations is in progress, but the documents signed during the visit will create a solid foundation for further cooperation.
At the end of the meeting, the president invited Hanafi Ali Jebali to visit Kyrgyzstan on an official visit, expressing confidence in the positive prospects for the further development of bilateral relations.
