Establishing strong ties between Kyrgyzstan and Russia is becoming increasingly evident. This was stated in an interview with the Kabar agency by Alikbek Dzhekshenkulov, former Minister of Foreign Affairs and ex-ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Russia.

In his opinion, the state visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Kyrgyzstan will be of great significance and will bring positive results.

Dzhekshenkulov emphasized that the composition of the delegation accompanying Putin indicates the intention to conclude numerous agreements to strengthen bilateral relations in various fields.

“The state visit of Vladimir Putin to Kyrgyzstan is an important stage in expanding cooperation between our countries. During the visit, the signing of several significant documents is expected. Moreover, the Russian delegation includes high-ranking officials such as the Deputy Prime Minister, Ministers of Internal Affairs and Economic Development, the Chairman of the Central Bank, the General Director of Rosatom, and representatives of major businesses. This underscores Russia's desire to deepen interaction with Kyrgyzstan. We expect that various sectors—economy, security, education, and others—will develop, bringing mutual benefits. The presidents of the two countries intend to sign a joint statement, focusing on cooperation in the areas of security, as well as in political, economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres,” Dzhekshenkulov added.

On November 25, Vladimir Putin arrived in Kyrgyzstan for a state visit. On November 26, the leaders of the two states will discuss important issues and further steps to strengthen strategic partnership.

There are also plans to sign a number of bilateral documents.
