The signing of the memorandum of friendship and cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan has become an important step in strengthening ties between the two peoples, reports Turmush correspondent.

As part of the implementation of the directives from the leaders of the two countries, the heads of the Tyup district and the Kegen district of Kazakhstan signed a document aimed at developing fraternal relations and unity between the Kyrgyz and Kazakh peoples.

The agreement aims to enhance cooperation in the fields of culture, humanitarian collaboration, agriculture, and the economy.

The visit of the delegation from Kazakhstan began with their meeting with local authorities at the border, where they were welcomed with the solemn exclamations of "Manas." The working group then proceeded to the rural area of Karkyra, where issues regarding the development of internal infrastructure and industry were discussed.

The Kazakh guests visited various social facilities in the village of Keng-Suu, including a school, kindergarten, sports stadium, and mosque.

A demonstration of the traditional art of "Salburun" took place at the stadium, along with sports competitions in which the leaders of both countries participated. Rustam Cherikbaev, head of the Karkyra rural administration, noted that the event was held at a high level of preparation and became a platform for exchanging experiences.

“We are sharing knowledge with our fraternal people who visited us on a working visit from the Kegen district. After getting acquainted with the social facilities, the delegation also visited the "Global Beton" plant in the village of Keng-Suu, which produces up to 60 tons of concrete per hour, providing jobs for local residents,” he added.

The delegation also visited a dairy processing plant in the area, where employees spoke about cheese production, some of which is exported abroad.

In the agricultural sector, the guests learned about new technologies in crop production, noting the increase in the yield of safflower and strawberries, which brings additional income to local residents.

The conclusion of the bilateral agreement between the head of the Tyup District State Administration, Timur Madyarov, and the head of the Kegen District, Nurbakyt Tengezbaev, marked the final stage of the visit aimed at developing friendship and cooperation.

Timur Madyarov shared plans for future cooperation:

“Our colleagues from the Kegen district have familiarized themselves with the social, cultural, and industrial potential of our region. Under the signed memorandum, we intend to deepen cooperation in the cultural, humanitarian, economic, and agricultural fields.

Additionally, in August, the "Tyup-Kegen" border crossing was switched to a 24-hour operation mode in accordance with the directives of the presidents of both countries. Currently, the international routes of Karakol-Almaty and Tyup-Kegen are operational. The Kazakh side reported plans to add four more buses for this route due to the increase in tourist flow during the summer.

In the future, a meat processing plant is expected to open in Kegen, which will be beneficial for local entrepreneurs in the livestock sector and will allow for the export of meat products.

In turn, the production of safflower oil is actively developing in the Tyup district, and the areas under strawberries and raspberries have significantly increased — we also shared this experience with our Kazakh partners,” T. Madyarov summarized.
