At the Kyrgyz-Kazakh border, the checkpoint "Karkyra" is functioning as usual. This was reported by Rysbek Ismailov, head of the Tyup District Road Maintenance Department.

Traffic is also ensured in other directions. A heavy snowfall has hit Kyrgyzstan, affecting the Tyup District as well. According to data from November 4-5, up to 10 cm of snow has fallen in this area. Work is underway to clear both republican and international roads.

Ismailov noted that intra-farm roads in the Karkyra valley are also open for traffic. "Since the evening of November 4, wet snow has begun to fall, with snow cover thickness reaching 10 cm in some settlements. Road service workers have used special equipment to spread inert materials on the roads and clear them. Currently, all roads are clean, and traffic in the border villages continues without interruptions," he added.
By the beginning of the autumn-winter season, 1,000 tons of inert materials were prepared. About 200 tons of salt will be needed for winter, of which 40 tons will be delivered in the near future. There are also fuel reserves amounting to 4,550 liters. Two graders, a snowplow, and other heavy machinery are currently in operation," Ismailov reported.
