Kyrgyz. Born in the village of Barskaun, Jeti-Oguz District, Issyk-Kul Region. Graduated from KGU (1961).
Worked as a teacher, deputy principal of a secondary school, responsible worker in party organs, senior researcher at the Research Institute of the Ministry of Education of the RSFSR, lecturer, head of the department at MATI named after K.E. Tsiolkovsky, dean, and since 1987 - head of the department at KGNU.
Specialist in the theory of nations and national relations.
Published more than 180 scientific works, including 14 monographs and 10 textbooks.
Under his supervision, 2 doctoral and 10 candidate dissertations have been defended.
