During the state visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Kyrgyzstan, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, emphasized that Russia is one of the key economic partners for Kyrgyzstan.
Japarov noted that cooperation between the two countries within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union creates opportunities for new investments, innovations, and cooperation.
He also added that Russian assistance in the development of infrastructure, energy, industry, and humanitarian initiatives is of immense importance. According to him, the number of Russian companies operating in Kyrgyzstan has increased to 1,800 by 2025, which is three times more compared to previous years.
Japarov paid special attention to issues of education, culture, and migration policy.
“Hundreds of thousands of citizens of Kyrgyzstan work in Russia, which contributes to strengthening the economies of both nations. Russian universities continue to be popular among the youth of our country, and joint humanitarian projects help strengthen ties and pass on the values of friendship to future generations,” he noted.
