At the meeting, Japarov expressed gratitude to Russia for its support in key areas such as energy and food security. He noted that cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Russia continues to develop and demonstrates a stable positive dynamic.
The President of Kyrgyzstan emphasized that Russia remains a reliable friend and partner for his country. He highly appreciated Russia's ability to maintain stability in the context of a complex geopolitical and economic situation, noting that this is a recognition of Putin's role on the international stage, rather than mere formal politeness.
Japarov also reminded that the friendship between the Kyrgyz and Russian peoples has been strengthened over decades, including during the Great Patriotic War, which forever linked their fates and became the foundation for modern cooperation.
According to him, Russia remains one of the main trade and economic partners of Kyrgyzstan. Integration within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union opens new horizons for the implementation of projects, innovations, and attracting investments. In particular, he pointed out the increase in the number of Russian companies in Kyrgyzstan: in 2025, their number reached 1800, which is three times more compared to previous years.
Among the key areas of cooperation, the president highlighted energy, industry, humanitarian initiatives, education, and culture. Japarov also noted that hundreds of thousands of Kyrgyz citizens work in Russia, contributing significantly to the economies of both countries, while Russian universities remain popular among the youth of Kyrgyzstan.
Furthermore, the president emphasized the importance of humanitarian projects that strengthen ties between peoples and pass on the values of friendship to future generations. He expressed hope that the upcoming negotiations would help define new directions for joint work and bring further benefits for both countries.
