During the meeting, the President of Russia emphasized the positive trend in trade turnover, which increased by 7.9% in the first eight months of 2025. He also expressed interest in deepening trilateral relations between Russia, Mongolia, and China.
One of the key outcomes of the negotiations was the decision to hold a meeting of the intergovernmental commission dedicated to trade, economic, and scientific-technical cooperation in Ulaanbaatar by the end of the current year. In response, the Mongolian side confirmed its readiness to consider the issue of opening a branch of a Russian bank to improve the system of mutual settlements.
This meeting was a continuation of the active dialogue between Russia and its partners within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, which Moscow chaired in 2024-2025.
