During a meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House, Mirziyoyev expressed gratitude for the unprecedented attention of American presidents to Central Asia. Following their negotiations, Trump announced an "incredible" trade and economic agreement, under which Uzbekistan will invest nearly $35 billion over three years, and more than $100 billion over the next ten years in key sectors of the U.S. economy, including mineral extraction, automotive components, and aviation.
