This week, the U.S. also announced the conclusion of several commercial agreements between American and Kyrgyz firms. These agreements are expected to bring significant export revenues in the billions of dollars for the U.S. and create thousands of jobs.
Among the key signed agreements:
- a contract for construction and engineering services between All American Rail Group and the national railway company of Kyrgyzstan;
- a memorandum of understanding between Citi and OJSC "Aiyl Bank";
- a contract for underwriting five-year unsecured bonds worth $300 million for "Aiyl Bank," concluded by the financial company Oppenheimer.
In addition, the parties achieved important progress in preparing an Open Skies Air Transport Agreement aimed at simplifying international air transportation and expanding opportunities for American airlines in Central Asia.
