The visit of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, to Japan, which took place from December 18 to 20, has come to an end.
On the first day, December 18, the head of state met with the Emperor of Japan, Naruhito.
During the meeting, issues related to strengthening friendly relations, developing cultural and humanitarian cooperation, as well as deepening mutual understanding between the peoples of Kyrgyzstan and Japan were discussed.
On December 20, the President participated in the First Summit of the Dialogue "Central Asia - Japan".
In his speech, he noted that this summit aims to elevate the partnership between Central Asia and Japan to a new, higher level.
The President confirmed support for Japan's initiative to focus joint efforts on three main areas: sustainable development, ecology, and human resources.
Additionally, he attended the signing ceremony of bilateral documents and the outcomes of the business forum "Dialogue Central Asia + Japan".
Within the framework of the forum, key areas of cooperation were identified, including sustainable development, the creation of a "green" economy, digitalization and the development of the IT sector, as well as issues related to human capital and education.
On the same day, President Japarov met with the Prime Minister of Japan, Sanae Takaichi.
The parties discussed deepening bilateral cooperation in politics, economics, and humanitarian affairs, increasing mutual trade and investment, as well as issues related to the development of sustainable energy, workforce training, and cooperation in sports and tourism.
As a result of the meeting, several documents aimed at strengthening cooperation and interaction between the countries were signed.
