President Sadyr Japarov's visit to Japan on December 20 includes participation in the signing ceremony of bilateral agreements reached during the 'Central Asia + Japan' business forum.
About 300 business representatives from Central Asia and Japan gathered at the event, covering various sectors such as industry, machine engineering, energy, transport and logistics, finance and insurance, as well as information technology, medicine, pharmaceuticals, and agriculture. Issues related to education, high technologies, and innovative development were also discussed.
The forum became a platform for discussing key areas of cooperation, including sustainable development, the formation of a "green" economy, digitalization, growth of the IT sector, as well as the development of human capital and educational initiatives.
At the end of the event, bilateral documents were signed, confirming the high level of trust between the parties and their interest in deepening cooperation.
Among the signed cooperation documents concluded between government structures and businesses of Kyrgyzstan and Japan, the following can be highlighted:
- Action plan for developing the potential of the 'Kyrgyz Export' Center in collaboration with the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO);
- 'Roadmap' between the Ministry of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic and 'MurooSystems Corporation' for the construction of a small hydroelectric power station on the Chon-Kemin River under the Investment Agreement dated August 30, 2024;
- Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic and national hospitals for the creation of advanced emergency care centers based on the Kitahara model;
- Memorandum of Understanding between the Kyrgyz-Japanese Business Council and the Japan-Kyrgyz Economic Exchange Association;
- Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic and Sprix Corporation;
- Memorandum between the Ministry of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic and 'Fujifilm SystemService Co, Ltd' and 'Digital Knowledge Inc';
- Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic and 'GAKKEN HOLDINGS Co, Ltd';
- Memorandum of Interaction between the Office of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Talas Region and the Kyrgyz-Japanese Human Development Center (KRJC);
- Memorandum of Cooperation between the Tourism Department of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Japan Association of Travel Agents (JATA);
- 'Power Purchase Agreement' between the National Electric Network of Kyrgyzstan and 'MurooSystems Corporation';
- Memorandum of Understanding between the Agro-Business Center of the Kyrgyz National University and 'Agritree Co, Ltd';
- Memorandum on the permanent supply of maintenance tools of Japanese production to Kyrgyzstan and Central Asian countries with 'Eight Tool Co, Ltd';
- Memorandum of Cooperation between the Social Center 'Equal Opportunities' and 'Plus' Foundation and Japan Tobacco Inc;
- Memorandum of Strategic Partnership (MoU) between the Kyrgyz-Japanese Human Development Center (KRJC) and the Kyrgyz-Japanese School Complex;
- Memorandum of Trilateral Cooperation for the establishment and management of the Kyrgyz-Japanese Digital University (K-JDU);
- Letter of Intent for youth sports exchange between the State Agency for Youth Affairs, Physical Culture and Sports of the Kyrgyz Republic and the city of Maizuru;
- Letter of Intent for cooperation between the mayor's office of the city of Balykchy (Kyrgyz Republic) and the mayor's office of the city of Maizuru (Japan);
- Memorandum of Understanding between the Consulting Division of Hirayama Corporation and 'Motion Group' JSC.
