As part of the "Days of the National Economy of Kyrgyzstan," a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed in Berlin between the Ministry of Science, Higher Education and Innovations of the Kyrgyz Republic and the German company KARL Berufsbildungs-GmbH. The subject of the agreement is the development of vocational education and the implementation of a dual training model, the ministry's press service reported.
The document was signed by Deputy Minister Nurlan Omurov and representatives of KARL Berufsbildungs-GmbH, including Honorary Consul Reinhold Krämmel and Manager Mirko Novak. The parties agreed on the implementation of a dual education system, the development of practice-oriented educational programs, the improvement of language training, the expansion of opportunities for professional practice, and the facilitation of mutual recognition of qualifications.
Also, as part of the business program, Deputy Minister Omurov participated in a meeting of the Kyrgyz-German Business Council.
In his speech, he noted that Kyrgyzstan is actively modernizing its vocational education system, focusing on international practices and elements of dual training. The Deputy Minister emphasized that workplace training is enshrined in national legislation, creating a solid foundation for cooperation between educational institutions and industrial enterprises.
Omurov also reported that eight colleges have received the status of Centers of Excellence, where training-production complexes have been organized, allowing students to acquire practical skills directly in the workplace.
He expressed interest in deepening partnerships with German industrial structures, noting that Germany's dual model serves as a benchmark for training specialists. According to him, cooperation with KARL Berufsbildungs-GmbH creates new prospects for preparing a new generation of specialists and implementing joint projects.
