The reform of the driver training system was discussed at the Ministry of Education.

At the meeting chaired by the Minister of Education Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva, issues related to the reform of the driver training system were discussed.

According to the press service of the ministry, the working meeting was attended by members of the group dealing with driver training issues, as well as representatives from the Kyrgyz Academy of Education, the Republican Scientific and Methodological Center, the State Center for Vehicle and Driver Registration, and heads of vocational education institutions.

During the meeting, drafts of the state educational standard concerning driver training were presented, along with curricula and the recommended number of instructional hours.

The minister emphasized the importance of developing a complete educational and methodological complex with modern educational materials.

It was previously reported that a mandatory course on traffic rules will be introduced for 11th and 12th-grade students for a duration of 14 months. There are also plans to tighten exams in driving schools, while private driving schools will continue to operate as state institutions.
