Tumanbaev noted that many citizens do not turn to private driving schools, and therefore the state decided to take responsibility for issuing driver's licenses in accordance with the legislation, after the necessary training is completed.
The duration of training at 14 months was chosen so that trainees could take practical classes at any time of the year. Additionally, starting in 2026, school students will begin learning to drive in the 11th grade, starting at the age of 16.
“All private driving schools for adults will be closed, and state driving schools will be opened,” he emphasized.
