At the opening of the exhibition "Education in Russia - 2026/27" in Bishkek, the Deputy Head of Rossotrudnichestvo, Pavel Shevtsov, noted that Russian universities are actively preparing professionals for the economy of Kyrgyzstan, who will be in demand in the future.

He also mentioned that 700 places have been allocated for citizens of Kyrgyzstan to study in Russia. The representative of Rossotrudnichestvo added that the training covers various specialties.

“Among the fields of study are teachers of the Russian language and subjects in Russian, engineering specialties, and modern information technologies,” he specified.

Shevtsov emphasized that when training Kyrgyz students, universities take into account the needs of the country and the planned economic model. “Our goal is to prepare qualified personnel for Kyrgyzstan in the best universities, who will be in demand in 10, 15, 20 years,” he added.
Moreover, the Deputy Head of Rossotrudnichestvo noted that Kyrgyzstan is interested in expanding the quota for educating its citizens in Russia.
“The request to increase the quota comes from both Kyrgyzstan and other CIS countries, as it is a sought-after and popular tool. We are always ready to consider the possibility of increasing the number of places in the quota,” he noted.

Speaking about the exhibition taking place at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, Shevtsov added that it features 28 Russian universities. “The wide selection allows students to familiarize themselves with modern educational programs and choose a suitable region. This is a great opportunity to communicate with the teachers who will conduct the classes,” he said.

The exhibition "Education in Russia - 2026/27" is also taking place in Kant and Kara-Balta and will run until October 31.
