Kyrgyzstan asks Lithuania to inform about restrictions for freight carriers

During a telephone conversation between Meder Abakirov, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, and Audra Plepite, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, issues related to bilateral cooperation and the conditions necessary for Kyrgyz freight carriers to cross the Lithuanian border were discussed. This information was provided by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan.

A representative of the foreign ministry emphasized the importance of strengthening dialogue and achieving mutual understanding between the two states. There was also an expression of interest in conducting political consultations aimed at further developing cooperation.

During the conversation, the issue of border crossing by freight carriers from Kyrgyzstan into Lithuania was raised. Abakirov noted that it is necessary to promptly inform about any restrictions or temporary measures that may be introduced by Lithuania to ensure the continuity of transportation and expedite the resolution of emerging issues.

In addition, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of cooperation in various areas, such as trade and economics, agriculture, and the processing industry.
