The checkpoint "Mediininkai" will operate with restrictions, and crossing the border is allowed only for certain categories of citizens, including:
- diplomats and staff involved in the delivery of diplomatic mail;
- persons transiting to and from Kaliningrad;
- citizens of Lithuania and European Union (EU) countries, as well as foreigners with a temporary residence permit in Lithuania or holders of humanitarian visas, who will be able to return through "Mediininkai".
The Ministry recommends that citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic plan alternative routes for leaving Lithuania in advance, taking into account the existing restrictions, and avoid participating in unauthorized protests and other forms of expressing discontent.
