Starting April 1 of this year, testing of a new goods waiting confirmation system known as SPOT will begin. This was announced by Urmat Takirov, director of the Export Development and Promotion Center "Kyrgyz Export" under the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic.
“The full launch of the system is scheduled for July 1, 2026. The main feature of SPOT is that when processing a shipment, the consignee must be specified. The SPOT system will allow for the advance preparation of an electronic document for the upcoming shipment and the submission of a security payment. After the payment is confirmed, a QR code is assigned, which is used when crossing the border. All document forms will be available in the system,” noted Takirov.
According to Takirov, the new system will not apply to all categories. It will be unavailable for individuals importing goods for personal use, as well as for diplomatic cargo, transit goods, and some large shipments where the payer is not a payer of indirect taxes.
The introduction of the system is aimed at simplifying the control over the movement of goods and increasing transparency in the field of foreign trade.
