During the session of the Jogorku Kenesh, the deputies adopted a draft law concerning amendments to the Constitution related to the Audit Chamber in two readings — the second and third.
The initiator of this draft law was the President of Kyrgyzstan.
The Chairman of the Committee on Finance, Budget, Entrepreneurship, and Competition Development, Altynbek Kudayberdiev, presented information about the draft law.
The aim of developing this project was to improve the legal regulation of the work of the Audit Chamber. In particular, it is planned to reduce the number of auditors from nine to three, which implies that the Audit Chamber will consist of three auditors and a chairperson appointed from among them, as well as a staff and territorial subdivisions.
In addition, the Jogorku Kenesh reviewed and approved a draft law concerning amendments to several legislative acts of the Kyrgyz Republic, including the laws "On Investments" and "On Arbitration Courts," as well as a draft law on amendments to the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On the Exchange of Credit Information" in the second reading.
