Construction of the China – Kyrgyzstan – Uzbekistan Railway is actively ongoing

The construction of a railway connecting China, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan is actively ongoing, as reported by the Deputy Director of the state enterprise "Kyrgyz Temir Zholu," Dastan Usubakunov, in an interview with Birinchi Radio.

The length of the new railway line will be 305 kilometers, and work is currently underway simultaneously at several sections.

“At the moment, work has begun on the construction of four major tunnels. As part of the entire project, the construction of 29 tunnels and 50 bridges is planned. The work is progressing actively,” emphasized Usubakunov.

Additionally, he noted that due to the winter season, concrete work has been temporarily suspended; however, internal work in the tunnels continues.

The total implementation period for this project is six years, of which one year of construction has already passed.
