According to information presented at a briefing by the Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, Choro Seyitov, the country's processing sector shows stable growth. In 2025, the production volume in this area reached nearly 640 billion soms, and the physical volume index increased by 9.8%. This sector today accounts for about 80% of all industrial activity in Kyrgyzstan.
Seyitov also noted that the government intends to continue implementing a large-scale program to open new production facilities. This year, the opening of 100 new enterprises is planned, and the list has already been approved. During recent visits to China, active negotiations are underway with foreign companies regarding the possibility of opening factories or relocating existing productions to Kyrgyzstan.
Among the priority areas for growth in 2026 are:
- production of building materials, rubber technical and plastic products;
- pharmaceutical and chemical industries;
- light industry with an emphasis on exports;
- automotive industry and deep industrial cooperation.
During the briefing, special attention was paid to the development of local automotive manufacturing. A new car manufacturing enterprise is planned to be established in Tokmok, while the state continues to support the existing production of Chevrolet vehicles.
“As part of the state support program, we have formed an order. Most government agencies are already using locally produced cars, which contributes to the development of the domestic market and strengthens the automotive industry,” added Choro Seyitov.
