NBKR and IMF Discussed External Challenges, Inflation, and Financial Sector Stability

The mission of the International Monetary Fund, led by Dmitry Gershenson, has started in the Kyrgyz Republic. This information was provided by the National Bank.

During a meeting between the Chairman of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic, Melis Turgunbaev, and representatives of the IMF, important issues were raised regarding the current macroeconomic situation, factors contributing to inflation, as well as external challenges. Aspects of monetary policy and measures aimed at maintaining stability in the financial sector were also discussed.

As part of the mission's work, meetings are planned with members of the cabinet of ministers and other government institutions to discuss economic policy and determine further steps.
