Recently, a food fair took place in the village of Ak-Suu, located in the Ak-Suu district, as reported by a Turmush correspondent.

The aim of the event was to support food security, stabilize prices for meat products, and monitor prices for essential goods.

Local farmers offered residents a wide range of products, with prices significantly lower than market rates. For example, meat was sold for 80–100 soms less than in stores.

In particular, beef was sold at 600 soms, bread at 45 soms, buckwheat at 55 soms, and honey at 500 soms. Eggs could be purchased for 12 soms, a kilogram of fish for 250 soms, and potatoes for 30 soms. Dairy products were also offered at reduced prices.

Additionally, noodles (in a 3 kg package) cost 291 soms, compote and pickled cucumbers (in two-liter containers) were priced at 100 soms each, cheese (300 grams) at 100 soms, and jam ranged from 100 to 250 soms. Milk was sold for 34–40 soms, sour cream for 100 soms, butter for 500 soms, and ayran for 100 soms.

The organizers plan to hold such socially-oriented fairs every Wednesday.
