According to Doctor of Economic Sciences Tologbek Abdyrov, independence in the issuance of a national currency is an important indicator of economic progress. In an interview with UTRK, he noted that the beginning of independent currency production in the country is a significant step forward.
“This is not just a matter of technical implementation. It reflects our economic power, which we have begun to develop since achieving sovereignty. Previously, our currency was printed outside the country, which incurred significant costs. Now, when we print it ourselves, this can be considered our strategic success in Central Asia. It also strengthens our security and represents one of our most outstanding achievements,” he added.
