The creation of its own currency and the printing of documents in Kyrgyzstan represents an important step towards economic independence and a secure future. This was stated by economist Kuban Choroев in an interview with the "Kabar" agency.
He noted that Kyrgyzstan finds itself on the brink of significant changes related to the issuance of the national currency and key state documents, which confirms the sovereignty of the country.
Choroев highlighted several key aspects that emphasize the benefits of this decision.
Among the main advantages, he mentioned the reduction of costs and savings in foreign currency.
“Previously, Kyrgyzstan spent significant amounts in dollars and euros on printing som by international companies, for example, in France and the UK. Now this money will remain in the country, allowing for more efficient use of budgetary funds. It also eliminates the risks associated with transporting money from abroad,” he noted. The printing of such important documents as passports and driver's licenses within the country also ensures a high level of protection for citizens' personal data.
“Now we are not dependent on external suppliers. The presence of international certificates confirms that our technologies are protected from counterfeiting and meet high standards,” Choroев added.
The economist emphasized that the ability to print currency and documents for other countries will allow Kyrgyzstan to enter the high-tech services market.
“We can offer other states quality services at competitive prices. This will become a new source of foreign currency inflows into the state budget and symbolizes a new status for Kyrgyzstan on the international stage. We are moving from the role of a consumer to that of a partner capable of providing high-quality technological services,” he concluded.
