In the Naryn region, in the Ak-Tal district, work has begun on the restoration of sections of the Naryn—Bayetov—Makmal road.

According to local residents of the village of Cholok-Kayin, located along this route, the condition of the road has deteriorated due to a large flow of heavy trucks. These vehicles are transporting construction materials for the implementation of a railway project connecting China, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan. As a result, deep potholes and ruts have formed on the road, creating serious problems for passenger cars. During heavy rains, traffic can come to a complete standstill.

Askar Omurbekov, the head of the road enterprise in the Ak-Tal district, confirmed the start of repair work. “After the snow melted in the spring and the ground became wetter, heavy trucks began to significantly damage the road surface. We contacted the company responsible for the railway construction, and they have already started work. We have also begun repairs. Work started on March 30, and we hope to complete the main stages today. Unfortunately, the number of damaged sections on the road is large,” said Askar Omurbekov.
