Initially, there was information that the fire engulfed the building of the Public Service Center (PSC), but it later became clear that the source of the fire was a cargo center.
According to the data from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, this large building houses not only stores and organizations but also the PSC itself. Incorrect information about the fire at the PSC quickly spread on social media. In reality, the fire was discovered in the cargo area (the place for issuing goods from China) located in the same building. Firefighters responded promptly and prevented the spread of the fire to neighboring stores.
According to the agency, the fire was completely extinguished at 15:10.
To extinguish the fire, two fire brigades from the city fire and rescue station No. 27 arrived at the scene at 13:51.
The area of the fire was 90 square meters.
Fortunately, there were no casualties, and the causes of the fire are currently being investigated.
