The corresponding appointment was announced in the president's administration, which also indicated that the decision on the new head of the agency was made by Sadyr Japarov.

Before this, the agency was headed by Azamat Yusupov, who was relieved of his duties on December 8, 2025. On the same day, Ruslan Musaev, who held the position of deputy chairman of the agency, was also dismissed.

The official statement did not specify the reasons for these personnel changes.
