Sauranbaev noted that local akimats are trying to build asphalt roads despite their significant cost. He emphasized that asphalt is 6-10 times more expensive than gravel, and often there is not enough funding even for the construction of gravel roads.
In addition, the minister pointed out the difficulties associated with maintaining asphalt roads in rural areas. Drivers often have to detour around potholes, choosing the shoulders of the road to avoid damaging their vehicles.
The new program aims to completely address issues related to the construction of access roads by creating gravel surfaces. The document is already prepared and awaits approval, after which its implementation will begin.
