On January 23, in the village of Maevka, located in Bishkek, employees of the Public Security Service of the GOM-8 of the First Mai District Police Department conducted a raid aimed at stopping the illegal sale of fuel and lubricants (GSM).

During the inspection on Molodaya Gvardiya Street, several points selling gasoline were identified. Some of them used plastic bottles and sold fuel directly from cars.

In one of the Lexus LX470 vehicles, law enforcement officers found 10-liter containers completely filled with GSM. Despite the driver's apologies and his promise not to break the law again, he was detained and taken to the police station, where a report was drawn up and a fine of 3,000 soms was imposed. In addition, the officers confiscated the bottles, and the fate of the illegal GSM will be decided in the district court.

Furthermore, the police discovered sales points located in the homes of local residents. In one case, a woman, noticing the approaching police "Niva," attempted to hide in her house but was detained; gasoline was confiscated from her, and she was taken to the police for further investigation.

According to the GOM, such raids are conducted regularly.
