The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan is holding a board meeting on the results of activities for the year 2025

As part of the collegium, the results of the work of the internal affairs bodies of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2025 are discussed, as well as the implementation of the "Safe Country" project and issues related to improving the quality of service for citizens. Ulan Niyazbekov, opening the meeting, noted the key achievements over the past year and emphasized that the Ministry of Internal Affairs is actively implementing modern methods and digital technologies to enhance public safety.

According to the data presented at the meeting, the crime rate in the country significantly decreased in 2025, while the detection rate of crimes increased. The Ministry of Internal Affairs ensured a high level of security and order during more than 120 mass events, preventing serious offenses.

It was also noted that over a hundred modern service buildings were put into operation in the republic, significantly improving working conditions for police officers.

In accordance with the president's directive, the Ministry of Internal Affairs is completing the transition from the "Safe City" project to the "Safe Country," the first stage of which started in June 2025. A tourist-ecological battalion was established in the Issyk-Kul region, which ensures safety and public order using modern equipment and digital technologies to reduce crime during the tourist season.

“We focus not only on maintaining order and combating crime but also on improving the quality of service for citizens and tourists. As a result, we managed to prevent almost 10,000 crimes,” noted the minister.

Ulan Niyazbekov also spoke about the second stage of the "Safe Country" project, which will be implemented in 2026. As part of this, it is planned to install more than 20,000 video cameras across the country and introduce new digital solutions to enhance safety in public places.

“The Ministry of Internal Affairs consistently fulfills the assigned tasks and takes effective measures to ensure the safety of the population,” the minister concluded his speech.

In his speech, the Chairman of the Cabinet, Adylbek Kasymaliev, emphasized the key areas of the Ministry of Internal Affairs' work, outlining tasks for strengthening law and order and ensuring citizen safety. During the collegium, he also presented state awards to distinguished employees of the internal affairs bodies.
