According to the press service of the Internal Affairs Department of the Osh region, on January 24, 2026, a report was received at the Uzgen District Internal Affairs Department from a local hospital stating that a young man, E.M., born in 1999, had died from serious injuries sustained from being struck by a sharp object.
In connection with this incident, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 122 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning murder, and appropriate investigative actions have begun.
Officers of the criminal investigation department of the Uzgen District Internal Affairs Department conducted operational search activities, as a result of which the suspect was detained the same day — 27-year-old K. uulu S. He had been hiding after the crime but was found and placed in a temporary detention facility.
According to preliminary data, the conflict between E.M. and K. uulu S. arose from a dispute over passage on the road.
