Kyrgyzstan has entered the ranks of world leaders in economic growth rates in 2025

According to the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Presidential Administration of Kyrgyzstan Adylbek Kasymaliev, the country is demonstrating impressive growth rates of gross domestic product (GDP) both in a regional and global context. This statement was made at a staff meeting in the Presidential Administration.

The head of the Cabinet presented preliminary results of economic development for 2025. He reported that throughout this year, the growth rates of the economy remained high, exceeding 11% over the past two years (2024-2025). "This confirms the effectiveness of our economic policy and indicates the correct course of development. By the end of 2025, the GDP volume reached 1 trillion 976.4 billion soms, almost reaching the mark of 2 trillion soms. It is expected that by the end of the year, according to revised calculations, it will exceed 2 trillion soms. For comparison, in 2022, the GDP was at the level of 1 trillion 21 billion soms. Thus, over three years, the GDP volume has doubled. The real GDP growth rate in 2025 was 11.1%. The average annual growth rate over the past four years reached 10.2%, which is a significant indicator at the global and regional levels," he added.

Kasymaliev also noted that all sectors of the economy contributed to the overall growth. The construction sector increased by 21.1%, services by 10.9%, and agriculture by 2.2%. Industry showed growth of 10.7%, and the volume of produced goods approached 800 billion soms. Particularly noticeable growth was observed in the pharmaceutical sector (an increase of 1.7 times), food production (by 30.1%), as well as in the production of rubber and plastic products and building materials (by 35.7%). Car production nearly doubled, chemical products increased by 19.8%, and mineral extraction by 14.2%. This is a very positive trend.

"The volume of investments in fixed capital grew by 18.4% and reached 374.6 billion soms, which is a record figure and 100 billion soms more than in 2024. Of this, 24% or 90.3 billion soms was financed from the republican budget, which is 42.7% more compared to the previous year," emphasized the Chairman of the Cabinet.
