The Ministry of Justice of Kyrgyzstan has developed a draft law aimed at regulating real estate activities

The draft law, in particular, focuses on the need to protect citizens from unscrupulous intermediaries and to create conditions for transparent operations in the real estate market. It aims to overcome practices that threaten the security of transactions.

The key provisions of the draft law include:

• mandatory registration (certification) of realtors in accordance with professional standards;

• introduction of an identification card that allows verification of a realtor's legality;

• establishment of unified standards for real estate services and standard contracts;

• ensuring transparency of information regarding the role and powers of the realtor in transactions;

• prohibition of double commissions and restriction of misleading advertising of real estate;

• introduction of liability for illegal activities in the real estate sector and violations of regulations.

The draft law also includes tax measures aimed at combating speculation in the real estate sector.

The implementation of this document is expected to serve as a means to stabilize the real estate market, increase citizens' trust, and create civilized conditions for honest participants in this sector.
