- During the plenary session of the Jogorku Kenesh held on January 28, 2026, Deputy Dastan Bekeshev raised the issue of legalizing cars registered in Russia.

According to him, many of these cars have been in impound lots for a long time.

He called for a prompt resolution to the problem of legalizing such vehicles.

“People are suffering, and it is necessary to find a solution to this issue,” he noted.

Bekeshev also suggested discussing this topic at a meeting of the committee on industrial policy, transport, fuel and energy complex, architecture, and construction.
