Today, January 28, Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu, the chairman of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, voiced the problems faced by the construction industry, noting the dissatisfaction of companies operating in this segment.
“We have been approached by representatives of several construction organizations. The Ministry of Construction, Architecture, and Housing and Communal Services, which is responsible for this area, sets tariffs independently. This has led to an increase in the cost per square meter of housing, creating serious difficulties for people wishing to purchase homes. I ask the relevant committee of the Jogorku Kenesh to consider and discuss this situation next week. After that, we must also discuss it at a meeting. There is much that causes dissatisfaction; we need to urgently restore order,” noted Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu.
In this regard, the chairman emphasized that the Jogorku Kenesh should serve as a platform for discussing such societal issues. “We must responsibly use this right,” he added.
