In connection with this incident, the investigative department of the Sverdlovsk District Internal Affairs opened a criminal case under Article 205 (theft) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. During operational activities, the police detained a suspect named A.K., born in 1998, who was taken in for further investigation.
During the investigation, it was established that the stolen phones were being sold at the "Osh-Bazars" market together with a citizen named A.Z., born in 2001.
Currently, both suspects are in the temporary detention facility of the Bishkek City Department of Internal Affairs. During searches at the "Besh-Sary" shopping center, operatives seized more than 20 mobile phones, confirming their involvement in a series of pickpocketing incidents in the capital.
The investigation is ongoing.
