In this regard, the Investigative Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs initiated a criminal case under Article 208 (Extortion) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
During joint operations by the Main Department of Criminal Investigation and the Investigative Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, two individuals were detained: K.N., born in 2005, and T.H., born in 2001, while receiving part of the demanded amount.
Investigative actions led to the identification and detention of a third participant — J.A., the organizer of the criminal scheme, born in 1986. During a search at her residence, a vehicle used to commit the crime was also seized and placed in a towing lot.
The detainees were taken to the Investigative Service and placed in the temporary detention facility of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of Bishkek.
During the investigation, it was established that J.A. had known the victim for several years and was aware of his financial situation and family circumstances. Taking advantage of the tragedy of the victim's son's death, she organized the extortion, involving other participants in the crime.
Currently, investigative actions are ongoing to clarify all circumstances of the crime and to check for possible connections of the detainees with other similar cases.
