The Ice Cracked: Three Minor Children Drowned in Sokuluk

In the village of Jany-Pakhta, located in the Sokuluk district of the Chui region, a tragedy occurred — three young children drowned in a pond.

According to information provided by local residents, the incident happened on February 2.

“All three children were from the same family. They were skating on the ice of the pond, which could not support their weight and cracked, causing them to fall into the water,” witnesses reported.
